 Tony Kerrfoot gallery owner and collector says "Terry is known for his sensitive and mystical beach scenes, that work on so many different levels but always manage to stimulate nostalgic memories in the observer, but to me he can best be described as an Atmospheric Colourist"

For inspiration he draws upon the beauty of the rugged natural Scottish land and sea as well as visual memory of his experiences of his up-bringing in South Africa, where he attended Sea Point Boys High and Lansdowne High School Cape Town.
